Vinification

Tasting Notes
The Cortese grape is mainly used for the production of the high quality Gavi wines but is widely grown in the Oltrepo region. Generally this modern style of Cortese has a good level of acidity, full ripe fruits, lemony zesty characteristics and modern packaging. 12.5% vol

Vinification
Destalking and cold maceration of skins for two days. Fermentation with frequent pumping over and pressing, malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine remains on its lees for at least five months prior to release.

A great value for money Nero d’Avola. A red of unmistakeable personality. Harmonious and rounded with intense aromas of jammy fruits and juniper berries. 14% vol

Vinification
The grapes are manually harvested from vines in the Selegas area in vineyards situated near Suelli. The wine is then traditionally fermented in stainless steel tanks.

The wine has a bright yellow colour with a slight greenish tinge. A subtle, delicate and intense bouquet with a fresh, dry, well defined palate. 13.5% vol

argiolas

Vinification
The grapes are hand harvested from various vineyards situated at Castagnoli & Capraia. The grapes are de-stalked and macerated at controlled temperatures (28°C) for 10 to 12 days. Malolactic fermentation takes places in stainless steel tanks and this is followed by a maturation period partially in small oak barrels and partially in tonneaux for a minimum period of 15 months. The wine is then blended in stainless steel, followed by clarification and filtration before bottling. The wine remains in bottle for 6 months before release.

Tasting Notes
A wine of excellent complexity and structure. The colour is intense ruby-red with purple reflections. The wine has an intense bouquet, rich in fruity and winy hints and a captivating balsamic note. The period in wood gives a notable balance to the wine and silky, smooth tannins on the palate. 13% vol.
